If you plan to use another service provider's DNS servers or passively use our name servers without modifying the DNS zone IP address of your domain name zone record, this service is not required.

It is only required if you need to use our DNS servers actively by creating a DNS zone records with your own IP.

Mainly for the purpose of hosting your own domain name on your own servers.
